Traitor Trump Doesn’t Know What A Hero Is

Republican Donald Trump, buddies with Russian warmonger Vladimir Putin, apparently doesn’t know what a hero is.
First, he said Sen. John McCain was not a hero because his plane was shot down and he was held prisoner. At the time Trump was dodging the draft.
“I like people who weren’t captured,” Trump said.
Now Trump attacked the mother of a Medal of Honor winner because she is a Muslim. Trump said she was not allowed to speak because she is a woman
Rightwing Redstate ran a column written by the woman, Ghazala Khan:
“Donald Trump has asked why I did not speak at the Democratic convention. He said he would like to hear from me. Here is my answer to Donald Trump: Because without saying a thing, all the world, all America, felt my pain. I am a Gold Star mother. Whoever saw me felt me in their heart.
“Walking onto the convention stage, with a huge picture of my son behind me, I could hardly control myself. What mother could?
“Donald Trump has children whom he loves. Does he really need to wonder why I did not speak?
“Donald Trump said that maybe I wasn’t allowed to say anything. That is not true. My husband asked me if I wanted to speak, but I told him I could not. My religion teaches me that all human beings are equal in God’s eyes. Husband and wife are part of each other; you should love and respect each other so you can take care of the family.”
Her son, Army Capt. Humayun S.M. Khan
was killed in Iraq, fighting to defend his fellow soliders. He was awarded the Medal of Honor.
His father, Khizr Khan, said, “He is a black soul, and this is totally unfit for the leadership of this country,
This week Trump trashed the Colorado Springs fire department, claiming they were incompetent.
This was only hours after they had rescued him when he was trapped in a hotel elevator.
"The firefighters were able to secure the elevator, open the top elevator hatch, lower a ladder into the elevator, which allowed all individuals to self-evacuate, including Mr. Trump, onto the second-floor lobby area," fire spokesman Steven Wilch told Colorado station KRDO in a Saturday report.
Trump took the stage to attack the fire department for limiting the number of people in an area for safety reasons set long before his visit.
Trump said: “The reason they can't let them in is because they don't know what they're doing."
Meanwhile Google News filled mobile phones with stories accusing Trump of being a traitor for asking Russia to launch a cyberattack on Hillary Clinton. And intelligence officials confirmed they had.

OpEd: Hillary Goes Religious on Trump

Many wondered how Hillary Clinton could deliver a speech with the power of all those who proceeded her. It may have been a surprise but it shouldn’t have been.
She went religious. Anyone who has read her biographies, including the book by Watergate writer Carl Bernstein, would have known that unlike Donald Trump the Democrat has always been a strong Christian and Methodist.
Hillary said her late mother had taught her “I learned the words of our Methodist faith: ‘Do all the good you can, for all the people you can, in all the ways you can, as long as ever you can.’”
She, and other speakers, made so many references to religion viewers might have been mistaken if they thought they were watching Ted Cruz.
And TV viewers who were interviewed, especially Hispanics, made clear they were thrilled to hear that God would be part of the campaign.
“Conservative Christians no longer agree on how to vote their collective conscience in America.
“To liberals, this group has acted for 40 years with incredible political discipline so often, and with such force, that it seems like a single unit moving in lockstep. But in populous, rural southern Louisiana, a decidedly various body of believers representative of much of American Christendom argues about how to proceed. As the ghost of Ronald Reagan loosens its grip on the party, a vital segment is directionless. Many are solidly opposed to Hillary Clinton; many more are disgusted with Donald Trump,” reported the Guardian.
It was hard to see how Trump’s TV threat to punch some the Democratic Convention speakers seemed like what Christ would do.
Speaking in Des Moines Trump said he wanted to “hit” some of them “so hard their heads would spin.”
“Trump isn’t identifying any of them. But he tells a crowd in Iowa that one certain speaker – Trump describes him as “a little guy” who he used to work with – particularly bothered him.
Might that be former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg? He had some dealings with Trump – a New York real estate developer – as the city’s leader.
“By the way, Bloomberg is listed as 5-foot-8.
Trump earlier Thursday said “a lot of lies are being told” about him in the speeches at the Democratic National Convention this week.
Although he is shorter than Trump he has many times more money, one pundit said perhaps 100 times. No one can be sure because Trump won’t release his taxes.
Chelsea Clinton gave a speech that brought tears as she introduced her mother.
No surprise there. But the Democrats brought people on the stage whose family members had in Afghanistan and Iraq. One, a Muslin, won the Medal of Honor fighting to defend his unit. Most, including the medal winner died.
A panel of generals said Trump would be a threat to American security.
With dozens of people, big and small, talking about how Hillary helped them or worked for them, including former President Jimmy Carter, it was cleared the Russian-based campaign of lies against her had been very successfully.
For lies, none could top Trump claming he never met Russian President Putin and didn’t know him. MSNBC showed a video of him bragging they were buddies.
The TV ratings for Trump’s Cleveland convention were so bad he was distancing himself from it. Many leading Republicans had refused to attend, attemting the government of Ohio himself.

Trying to explain her demeanor and why she can’t be the candidate TV wants. She said my goal is service, not publicity.

Democrats Beat Republicans on TV

Before we try to figure out where our presidential race stands the question should be asked.
Should be looking at polls or TV ratings.
“The Democratic National Convention continues to be a bigger draw than its Republican counterpart, as nearly four-and-a-half-million more viewers have tuned in for primetime coverage of this week's dog and pony show,” said,” said Ad Age.
“Midway through the four-night event, the DNC is also besting the GOP confab in terms of the number of demographically desirable viewers it is reaching. Thus far, the DNC is averaging 7.9 million adults 25 to 54 years old per night, which translates to a 6.7 rating and represents a 39% lift versus the RNC's 5.68 million/4.8 rating.”
The most stunning development this morning was that the Republican-leaning polling agency for the first time had Hillary Clinton leaning.
538 pollster Nate Silver has said: “Rasmussen polls were the least accurate of the major pollsters in 2010, having an average error of 5.8 points and a pro-Republican bias of 3.9 points…”
And Trump was still living down his associations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, even urging Putin on national television to steal more U.S. documents.
These statements were being made as Putin’s jets were buzzing NATO and U.S. warships, and attacking Ukraine. He is accused of shooting down a Malaysian airliner with 298 people. British police accuse his government of killing a former agent with a special radiation syringe.
Why won’t he release his taxes. Every president in Richard Nixon has, and Nixon was being audited and ultimate forced out of office.
Trump’s manager has close ties with the crook-dictator Ukraine kicked out and is now living in Russia. People are demanding to see Paul Manafort’s returns.
President Obama, in a speech some pundits say was perhaps his finest ever, said of Putin: “We don’t look to be ruled.”
"I can say with confidence there has never been a man or a woman more qualified than Hillary Clinton to serve as President of the United States of America.,” said Obama.
It’s no longer a joke that Trump is “The Manchurian Candidate.”
Both versions of the movie end with a drunken politician being used to take control of the U.
S. for Russian being shot as he tries to assassinate the mostly likely presidential candidate.
Former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who has been a democrat, a republican and independent, and who pundits say is worth 100 times more money than Trump, said:
“Throughout his career, Trump has left behind a well-documented record of bankruptcies, thousands of lawsuits, angry shareholders and contractors who feel cheated, and disillusioned customers who feel ripped off. Trump says he wants to run the nation like he's run his business. God help us.
“I'm a New Yorker, and New Yorkers know a con when we see one! Trump says he'll punish manufacturers that move to Mexico or China, but the clothes he sells are made overseas in low-wage factories. He says he wants to put Americans back to work, but he games the U.S. visa system so he can hire temporary foreign workers at low wages. He says he wants to deport 11 million undocumented people, but he seems to have no problem in hiring them.
Truth be told, the richest thing about Donald Trump is his hypocrisy.”

A Democratic Convention Like No Other

A former president introduces his wife as potentially the nation’s first woman president. An English politician nominates his brother as Hillary Clinton’s opponent.
The Russians are accused of trying to steal the election for Russia. Democratic House Leader says Vladimir Putin did more than steal files from the Democratic National Committee. She says they are paying people to carry Barry Sanders’ signs on the streets.
The Internet was full of lies, some them perhaps only white lies, but they all favor Republican Donald Trump.
Some say the woman who was fired for trying to frustrate the Sanders’ campaign, presumably fired by Hillary Clinton, was given a job with the campaign. Not true.
The rightwing Breitbart web site said the election site 538 now predicted that Trump was 57 percent likely to win. Not true. The site gives a 52-to-60 percent likelihood of winning.
President Obama said Trump scared him.
“Set aside the nuclear code. What I think is scary is a president who doesn't know their stuff and doesn't seem to have an interest in learning what they don't know,” Obama said in a pre-taped interview that aired Wednesday morning on NBC’s “Today.”
“I think if you listen to any press conference he has given or listen to any of those debates, basic knowledge about the world, or what a nuclear triad is, or where various countries are, or the different between Sunni and Shia in the Muslim world, those are things he doesn't know and hasn't seemed to spend a lot of time trying to find out about,” Obama said.
Vice President Joe Biden said: “The truth is Donald Trump knows nothing about foreign policy, nor should he based upon his background. But the thing that bothers me, Willie, is I don't see any attempt for him to go out and get people who really know [the subject] on the Republican side,” Biden said.
Speaker after speaking, including former President Jimmy Carter, talked of how Hillary work for them and with them.
No one could match Bill Clinton. Who else would tell the audience that one summer she decided to work in a salmon factory.
Here is Bill’s speech.
Democrats showed people who said they had been rejected by Trump ranging from victms of injuries and diseases to shootings.
Nothing matched the claim that Trump, who has declared himself proud to make money off the recession, had gotten a government cash payment because one of his businesses was damaged in 9/11.
This is a man who bragged that he was proud of his five bankruptcies. They showed, he said, he knew how government worked.
On Wednesday night the convention will hear from outgoing President Obama, who has been a strong backer of Hillary. Michelle Obama earlier told the crowds Hillary helped her raise her daughters.
Bernie Sanders was going door-to-door in Philadelphia telling the people who had supported him they will be elected a monster if they don’t vote for Hillary.
He told them no was more disappointed than him to have not been nominated, but he had gotten over it and wanted to do what was right for the country.
Strongly rightwing journalists were furious with Putin for interfering in our election. This is a man whose jets buzz our warships. Trump is prepared to cut support for NATO, which would make it easier to Russian to retake Baltic states it once controlled. Trump admitted Wednesday morning on network television that Russian had done numerous cyberattacks.
Once again Trump refused to release  his taxes, claiming he is under audit. Other candidates under audit have released their taxes.

Democrats Throw Star Power and Love at Trump

The message was on stickers throughout the hall in the city of Brotherly Love. “Love Trumps Hate.” Take that law and order president.
It was almost like a Steven Spielberg movie.
A series of speakers, including Michelle Obama and Bernie Sanders himself, explained why the former reality show host had ripped off people he worked without building towers which later went bankrupt.
If hearing it from Sanders himself, TV star Sarah Silverman, a Bernie supporter from day one, told those refusing to join the Hillary Clinton bandwagon “you’re being ridiculous.”
Sanders said no one was more disappointed than he was, and he knew he had not been treated fairly, but election of Donald Trump would destroy the country.
Many did not buy it and shouted boos or even taped SILENCE signs over their mouths.  Sanders endured booing on several occasions, no longer with the Secret Service to protect him.
Ironically, Clinton carried California by 438,000 votes.
No one in his right mind can believe that whatever dirty tricks the Democratic National Committee pulled, revealed in detail by Russia’s Putin and Wikileaks, Clinton stole California. The FBI is investigating alleged ties between Trump and Putin. Even right-wing media took offense.
Speaker after speaker Monday talked about the millions who lost their houses and thousands who lost their loves because of the recession and wars created by President George W. Bush.
Even this Tuesday morning media pundits were trying to keep the feud alive. Several networks sought out people who hated Clinton knowing they would not support Hillary.
Ironically, nothing that was hacked two days before the convention began, was new. Sanders himself said Wikileaks didn’t say anything he had not already said.
Nancy Pelosi, leader of the Democratic Party in the House, hinted on MSNBC this morning that many of the people on the street criticizing Hillary were being paid by Putin.
Putin had accused Hillary of interfering in his last election.
But none of the speakers Monday day came close to approaching the elegance of First Lady Michelle Obama, much beloved across party lines.
This “is the story of this country, the story that has brought me to this stage tonight, the story of generations of people who felt the lash of bondage, the shame of servitude, the sting of segregation, but who kept on striving and hoping and doing what needed to be done so that today I wake up every morning in a house that was built by slaves. And I watch my daughters, two beautiful, intelligent, black young women playing with their dogs on the White House lawn. And because of Hillary Clinton, my daughters and all our sons and daughters now take for granted that a woman can be president of the United
States.
“So, look, so don’t let anyone ever tell you that this country isn’t great, that somehow we need to make it great again. Because this right now is the greatest country on earth! And as my daughters prepare to set out into the world, I want a leader who is worthy of that truth, a leader who is worthy of my girls’ promise and all our kids’ promise, a leader who will be guided every day by the love and hope and impossibly big dreams that we all have for our children.”
Speakers joked her speech was so strong it would be used in the next Republican convention, much as a previous Obama speech was used by Trump’s wife, Melania, in the Republican convention.
Tuesday night will be another where love is the issue. The love of mothers whose children who died in gun massacres. The Republican party and the NRA have consistently fought any effective gun control laws.
They claim none would stop all shootings. Imagine if we eliminated laws against burglaries or bank robberies because some times the bad guys get away.
That is the Trump mantra: Every man, hopefully carrying a gun, for himself.
Military and intelligence leaders find Trump’s closes ties with Putin terrifying. He is getting intel briefings, and he won’t have to use Wikileaks to pass on the information he gets.
Trump’s funding threats to NATO are being cheered in Moscow.
