Nation Needs New Election Not Hearings

If the U.S. is to become the leader of the Free World again action needs to be taken to deal with what former Vice President Dick Cheney and others call a Russian act of war.
Hours goes by but no one is answering the basic question. Should there be a new election?
And who should be the candidates and how should it be conducted?
If President Donald Trump was colluding with Russia should be even be allowed to run? Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton cannot simply be named to replace Trump.
This is quickly becoming as complicated as the downfall of the late President Richard Nixon.
Nixon and his vice president, Spiro Agnew, who were both in their second terms, were ousted for doing a lot less than Trump and his crowd are. Stealing files from Democrats doesn’t compare with working with the Russians, who remain our enemies.
Nations around the world have held elections a second time when there unanswered questions about the honesty of voting.
Trump and his family are accused of siding with Russian dictator Putin and his crooked banks.
In this topsy-turvy world cable television tells us Putin is popular the same day Russians are protesting against him throughout his country.
In the irony of ironies, German is now considered the leader of the Free World.
The planet needs a new election because Trump is trying to prevent the protection of the environment.

The Sun Also Rises 3

I knew from Google that I was going to have wait until almost 6 a.m. to be sure the sun would rise in the foothills west of Denver.
I needed a dream to come up with a way to describe the defeat of master showman Donald Trump’s healthcare bill. People just didn’t want to understand Trump no matter how ridiculous.
Upton Sinclair was one of the those who said it best:
"It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends upon his not understanding it!"
To lift from Ernest Hemingway, I knew I knew I was not very impressed by very many of Donald Trump’s titles. Sure, could knock down almost anyone in the Princeton gym.
“He cared nothing for boxing, in fact he disliked it, but he learned it painfully and thoroughly …”
“… I mistrust all frank and simple people, especially when their stories hold together, and I always had a suspicion that perhaps Robert Cohn had never been middleweight
Hemingway, Ernest (2002-07-25). The Sun Also Rises (Hemingway Library Edition) (p. 3). Scribner. Kindle Edition.”
But unlike Hemingway’s time, radio and TV networks were as a common as “Spider Kelley’s star pupil.”
But when the sun came up the banner headlines were still all over the world Saturday morning. I could have taken an entire day and a dozen languages to translate them all.
Stories carried around the world by “useful idiots” like myself.
For the first time Trump was getting his own version of the Iceberg Theory (sometimes known as the heory of omission") is a style of writing (turned colloquialism) coined by American writer Ernest Hemingway. As a young journalist, Hemingway had to focus his newspaper reports on immediate events, with very little context or interpretation. When he became a writer of short stories, he retained this minimalistic style, focusing on surface elements without explicitly discussing underlying themes. Hemingway believed the deeper meaning of a story should not be evident on the surface, but should shine through implicitly. Critics such as Jackson Benson claim that the iceberg theory, along with Hemingway's distinctive clarity of style, functioned to " distance himself from the characters he created.
Even an abysmal losses couldn’t stop the headline machine. Trump’s son was in trouble with dad for going skiing in Aspen, Colorado while father’s health care bill couldn’t even make it to the polls.
But there were no reports of his old man picking up dying people on the streets of the “Big Apple.” Perhaps Chicago would have been a more productive site.
The Aspen report was denied but as usual several family photos told otherwise.
At least any family member could have afforded medical care if a tree got in the way on a black diamond. And the family 757 was available though perhaps a bit large for the runway.
Hillary Clinton’s 14-year-old Boeing 737 could have landed if a tsunami of bad, fake and and even good news hadn’t blotted her from the sky on election day.

Nuclear War Possible With Trump In White House

The US has said its policy of "strategic patience" with North Korea is over and suggested it might decide to take pre-emptive military action.
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said the option was "on the table" if the threat from the North's weapons programme reached a level requiring it.
“Chinese Premier Li Keqiang just issued a strong message to Donald Trump: You really don’t want to start a trade war with us.
Speaking at a news conference on Wednesday, Li cited an article from “an authoritative international think tank” showing that “should a trade war break out between China and the United States, it would be foreign-invested companies, in particular US firms, that would bear the brunt of it.”
““We don't want to see any trade war breaking out between the two countries. That wouldn’t make our trade fairer,” he added.
“Is Li right that US companies would end up hit harder than Chinese companies in the event of a trade war?,” Vox reported.
China had tried two weeks ago to end the possibility of war.
U.S. President Donald Trump, who has no military experience, is threatening attacks on North Korea if it does not stop nuclear and missile testing.
The New York Times is quoting U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson as rejecting talks with North Korea.
So much for Trump’s bromance with Russia.
“Both (China) nations have agreed to intensify their opposition to the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense system (THAAD) which the US plans to deploy to the region.
Ministers from Russia and China met to solidify their allegiance against Trump’s project.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry said: “Both sides said they will continue to strengthen their coordinated opposition to THAAD."
China’s assistant foreign minister, Kong Xuanyou, and Russian deputy foreign minister Igor Morgulov have talked in Beijing,” the Express reported.
